Mannix Heating & Air Conditioning
Mannix Heating & Air Conditioning was formed in August 1970 by Robert (Bob) Parry, as Sole Proprietor. The name Mannix came from Bob’s favourite TV detective show in the early 70′s called “Mannix”, starring Mike Connors.
At that time, Mannix Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd. started off with a contract with Imperial ESSO to service and repair oil furnaces on the North Shore, from Deep Cove to Brunswick Beach.
In the mid 70’s, Mannix Heating acquired contracts with Chevron Canada – Furnace Oil Sales LTD., Shell Canada and Gulf Oil – Morrow Fuels, now known as PetroCan. In later years, natural gas came into the picture and Mannix Heating got into installing & servicing gas furnaces.
Over the years, oil customers began to dwindle and gas costumers increased due to the government incentives that were in place. In the year 2002, Mannix Heating gave up any oil servicing, except for a few dedicated customers of 35 years.
Since we have been in operation, Mannix Heating has serviced & repaired all brands of furnaces, boilers, water heaters, pool heaters and air conditioning.
In June 2016, 4 years after the passing of its founder, Mannix Heating changed ownership but continues to operate under new management. It’s business as usual.
